About the 1995 BMW M3 LTW
The BMW M3 Lightweight (alternatively LTW) is a homologation special version of the E36-generation BMW M3. Designed by Claus Luthe, the M3 Lightweight was created to homologate the M3 for use in the IMSA Showroom Stock Series; it was in effect an Americanized version of the M3 GT sold in Europe. The M3 Lightweight was some 200 lbs (91 kg) lighter than the standard M3 due to its removal of the radio system, air conditioning and sound deadening material (although it was pre-wired for a radio syste
