About the Citroën DS 23 Sedan
The Citroën DS is an executive car manufactured and marketed by Citroën from 1955 to 1975. Designed by Flaminio Bertoni and André Lefèbvre, the DS was initially introduced at the 1955 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the Traction Avant; 80,000 deposits for the car were taken in the ten days of the show, a record which stood for over 60 years. The DS's design has been widely lauded and taken as a sign of French ingenuity, with it also introducing a number of innovative features for its time.
