About the Lancia Delta S4
The Lancia Delta S4 is a rally car manufactured by Abarth for Lancia intended for competition in the FIA World Rally Championship. Designed by Renato Sconfienza, Bruno Giardino and Sergio Limone under Pier Paolo Messori, the Delta S4 was homologated for Group B and acted as the successor to the 037. It was powered by a 1.8L Tipo 233 ATR 18S twincharged inline-4 mated to a 5-speed Hewland transmission; the engine produced 550 horsepower. First entered into competition in 1985, the Delta S4 won 5
