About the McLaren M6GT
The McLaren M6GT is a sports prototype racing car designed and developed by McLaren to compete in endurance racing. Designed by Bruce McLaren, Robin Herd, Gordon Coppuck, Tyler Alexander and Don Beresford, the M6GT was based on the M6A but featured a closed cockpit. The car was powered by a 5.7L Chevrolet LT1 V8, similar to the M6A and other McLaren models of the time.
