About the Volkswagen ID R
The Volkswagen I.D. R is an all-electric prototype race car designed for hill climbs. Created in light of Volkswagen's emissions scandal and them pulling out of all motorsports events, the I.D. R is Volkswagen's first all-electric race car. The original release of this model is intended to resemble the light grey paint scheme used by the car when it was on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. The base of the model reads Volkswagen I.D.R.
